Stellwagen Blend is inspired by the famous ocean sanctuary area named for the hydrographer who first mapped the bank back in 1854-1855. An area with a heritage as rich as New England itself, the Bank has its share of precious marine life as well the the remains of many tragic shipwrecks. We roasted this bean just into “second crack” of the roast process, exploiting the citrus-chocolatey flavor a fully washed bean blend of this origin can produce. We believe its rich flavor pays homage the rich heritage of the great Stellwagen.
Region Details
Located in the Sierra Nevada region, these producers come from two townships: Siberia and San Pedro which are located in the municipality of Ciénaga. The majority of these producers are recognized victims of armed conflict and they are in a program for land restitution. Now that they have regained their land, they decided to put it to good use and produce high-quality organic coffee.
