Organic Matcha “Kakegawa”

Matcha Kakegawa makes a truly delicious latte. From its bright, fresh aroma to its lumosity, the tea powder whisks into a smooth suspension very easily, gathering a substantial foam on top. Pouring it into milk softens its rich green color into a vibrant pastel. The matcha is inherently creamy, as its taste blends seamlessly with the taste of the milk.

While it has a strong and captivating aftertaste, its mouthfeel and character is very light and weightless. We think this is the perfect matcha – it’s refreshing and, in all ways, uplifting.

Tea details

This organic matcha comes to us from Matsushita Tea Garden of Kakegawa City, Shizuoka, Japan; one of the key producing regions of tea in Shizuoka. This harvest is a cultivar blend of Saemidori and Tsuyuhikari. The flavor is bold umami and buttery, with a less pronounced maple-like sweetness.
